25. / An Unconventional Feast
We had an amazing time at 25SF and want to thank all of our friends, family, food partners, and volunteers who made it possible!
We’re pretty modest at Koutáli. In fact, we’re the smartest, most handsome, most modest people in the world. As such, singing praises for ‘ 25. / An Unconventional Feast’ proves trying. But, we’re professionals and we’ll sack it up and say that the event was awesome.
Chefs and Artisans were out in full force, dazzling the guests with innovative and tasty morsels. David Barzelay of Lazy Bear astonished crowds with his haute/molecular approach to that American classic “Eggs and Bacon’, while the sweet teeth in the audience were soothed by the smooth and sultry ‘Naughty Doughnuts’ from Hannah Hoffman of Cibo Per Strada.
Lamb’s Tongue Salad from Beast and the Hare, anybody? You better believe it! It went so fast that Ian Marks ran out of plates and had to start serving it on napkins.
That, of course, is just three out of the 25 dishes. The list of fabulous cuisine goes on as long as the line to get into the event, but remember, we’re pretty humble around here.
So, to all those who participated, whether by eating or cooking, we’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did and can’t wait to see you all at the next one. Not too much info can be divulged, but what we can promise is it’s going to be better than the last.
