Picnic Under the “Midnight Sun” in Norway

The “Midnight Sun” is a natural phenomenon found in latitudes north of the Arctic Circle, where the sun is visible at the local midnight and for a full 24 hours a day! It’s the perfect excuse to luxuriously enjoy long days outdoors and utilize a picnic bag or trunk even.  Whether you are the sporty and light traveler that’s motivated by miles or the relaxed lounger by the picturesque, Sagform’s selection will pair well with your picnic attitude and help to attain the most delicious spread outdoors.

BBQing at the Viking Festival in Aarhus, Denmark

Modern Vikings at Arhus, Denmark

We can’t say that it will have the romantic appeal of a Renaissance fair, but the Viking Festival will glorify historical masculinity with its traditionally clothed warriors, and viking-style riders – its main attractions are warrior fights and riding shows.  Boasted as one of the most attended festivals in Scandinavia, there is much potential to be waiting in longs lines. So it can be your own small triumph to grill cod on the sidelines and host a game of Boules while grunting at the festivities.

Bucket Grill, Steel - $44.99

Boules Set - $34.99

Spending a Day at the Karlshamn Baltic Festival (Östersjöfestivalen)

Dancer at Östersjöfestivalen

The Östersjöfestivalen is Swedish for the Karlshamn Baltic Festival and the biggest free festival in southern Sweden.  Performers and artists from the regions around the Baltic Sea fill the streets full with local entertainment and music of every genre.  This event even hosts a lengthy street parade, Baltic song contest , vintage car rally – expect some pristine Volvos, and a traditional market. There are also aquatic events taking place on and in the waters around Karlshamn, Sweden.  This festival seriously has every attraction which is why we suggest you bring your own bottle of aquavit (Scandinavian vodka), Malmberg (Swedish mineral water) or a rare Swedish wine (yes, they sure do!) and an easy-to-carry blanket for when standing and walking become daunting or when you find an ideal event watching spot.

Wine Bag, Green - $14.99

Pinic Blanket, Happy Green - $34.99
