When I saw this recipe for Cherry Lambic Ice Cream Float on The Kitchn yesterday, it was as if my long-time childhood favorite finally became an adult!  It is still sweet as can be for a float, but the booze content adds a certain taste of sophistication.

This will be a hit amongst the adults and also, a new inspiration for experimenting with other fine brews (try a dark coffee roast stout like Lagunita’s Cappuccino Stoat for a rich and frothy float).  Also, we couldn’t help but notice The Kitchn served their floats in French ‘Amelie’ glasses!  For the full service, follow the recipe below and then shop our ‘Amelie’ Collection for more colors and sizes.

Lambic Float
serves one

1-2 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 fluid ounces (1/2 cup) lambic (your choice of flavor)

Place a scoop or two of ice cream in a glass. Top with the lambic. Serve immediately with a spoon.

These are great! Try them with coffee stout and chocolate ice cream!
